🌱 Nursing Home Owner Arrested + Shootings At Willows Apartments

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans:
- NOPD is investigating after three people were killed in separate incidents at the same place, the Willows apartment complex on Lawrence Road. The first shooting took place Tuesday around 11 p.m. where two people were found dead at the scene. The second incident was on Wednesday and left one dead. The property manager was at the scene of the second crime but hasn't made any public comment. (WDSU New Orleans)
- The nursing home owner who was responsible for the poor evacuation of his residents to a warehouse during hurricane Ida has been arrested on charges of fraud and cruelty. Over 800 residents were placed in the warehouse without much food, water or some of their medicine with mattresses on the wet floor. (U.S. News & World Report)
- Mayor Cantrell addressed concerns over the usage of the abandoned Naval Support Activity Center site which has been left unsecured for years. 'No trespassing' signs have now been posted as Cantrell claims she is working out deals to have the site secured and to support it's redevelopment. (WDSU New Orleans)
