Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:

  1. A man was found shot and killed on Wednesday night and surveillance video from a Ring camera recorded footage of the nearby gunfire that can be heard on camera, which was near Chef Menteur Highway and Downman Road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene on Beechcraft Street. (WWLTV.com)
  2. The New Orleans judge who was accused of tax fraud has been acquitted after her November trial ended with a hung jury. The 2nd City Court Judge Ernestine Anderson-Trahan was charged with falsifying taxes and allegedly not reporting income for legal work and officiating weddings. The reasons and motion for acquittal will be sealed until later in the week. (U.S. News & World Report)
  3. The tallest building in New Orleans, The Plaza Tower, is now up for sale. NOLA developer Joe Jaegger put the property on the market after unsuccessful attempts at redeveloping the building into a new use. Mayor LaToya Cantrell stated the city is eager to help a new developer revitalize the deteriorating building. (FOX 8 LIVE)
