🌱 Pride Parade Will Roll + Overnight Shootings

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in New Orleans.

Welcome back, New Orleans! I'm here in your inbox today to tell you everything you need to know about what's going on around town. Hope you all have a great day. Here goes.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny. High: 92 Low: 79.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in New Orleans who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our New Orleans Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans:

  1. After a bit of uncertainty surrounding whether the New Orleans' Pride parade will take place this year due to clean-up costs, it has been confirmed the parade will roll with a shortened route. The parade will turn onto St. Louis Street instead of Canal Street but still end up on Bourbon Street. (WDSU New Orleans)
  2. Two 13-year-old boys face charges of attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault, illegal possession of a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property, criminal damage to property and illegal use of a weapon after being arrested on June 2 by NOPD for an armed robbery and assault that took place on Paul Morphy St.(Mid-City Messenger)
  3. Monday night saw three overnight shootings that left one dead and three wounded. The first victim, which marks the 125th homicide in New Orleans this year, was found around 2:30 in the morning in Marigny after NOPD responded to gunshots in the area. The second shooting occurred on I-10 when a suspect fired into a vehicle and struck one man who was able to drive to a hospital. The third shooting occurred on Aviators Street where a man and woman were shot but NOPD has not released any further details other than they were able to get to a hospital for treatment.
