Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:

  1. One person was shot and injured on Tuesday afternoon outside Booker T. Washington High School. A 16 year old sustained a gunshot wound around 3:30 p.m. on South Roman Street, but it is currently unclear if the shooting happened at the school or just nearby, multiple NOPD units and crime scene tape was seen outside the school. (WDSU)
  2. During an ATM theft, suspects were caught on video crashing their truck multiple times into the front of a doughnut shop on Esplanade Avenue on Tuesday as they attempted to steal the business's ATM. They ultimately drove their truck through the front of the store with employees still inside, freeing the ATM and loading it into their truck and driving away with it. (FOX 8 Local First)
  3. Streets near the Plaza Tower, Howard Avenue near Loyola and Rampart streets, will be closed until further notice due to concerns of falling debris while the owner of the Plaza Tower makes repairs. Traffic has been heavy in these areas and the City of New Orleans has released a statement saying they will try to push the owner of the building to expedite the process, despite not having a set end date.
