Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:
- The New Orleans District Attorney has missed the deadline to try a teen who is accused of paralyzing a UNO student as an adult and will have to go to additional measures if the DA wishes to move his case out of juvenile court. The 16-year-old boy was accused of paralyzing a 24-year-old student in an armed robbery in August and the DA's office announced they still plan to attempt to try him as an adult. (FOX 8 Local First)
- A man was shot on Pleasure Street in St. Bernard on Tuesday. Around 10:50 p.m. a male victim was shot and suffered at least one gunshot wound to the body. The man arrived at the hospital via private vehicle, but his condition is currently unknown. (WWLTV.com)
- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed on Chef Menteur Highway on Tuesday night. The cause of the crash is still being investigated but the driver remained at the scene after the crash occurred at 5:50 p.m. (WDSU New Orleans)
