Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans:

  1. NOLA's U.S. Marshals Service's missing children task force announced that it has successfully recovered 14 missing and endangered children through its 'Summer Knights' operation. Spanning from the end of April to August, the task force also arrested eight people during the operation.
  2. NOPD was called to investigate an incident where a student physically fought a teacher at L.B. Landry High School. The student was already in a physical altercation when the teacher intervened, eventually pulling the student to the ground, when the student began hitting and kicking the teacher. Video surfaced from the incident from a substitute teacher who began recording when no one intervened in the altercation. No charges were filed. (WDSU New Orleans)
  3. Willie Odom, a 13-year-old boy, has been reported missing after he was last seen leaving a residence on September 10. NOPD is asking for assistance in locating the young man. You can see a picture of him on WDSU's website. (WDSU New Orleans)
