  1. In preparation of Hurricane Season, the New Orleans Flood Protection Authority conducted a test closure of New Orleans-area floodgate on Thursday. Crews tested the pumps that draw water from Harvey and Algiers while the gate was closed off. (WGNO New Orleans)
  2. A section of I-10 East is closed in Kenner after a trucker spilled 50 gallons of liquid sodium hydroxide onto the road. The driver slammed on the brakes which caused the cap to come off the tanker near the Williams Boulevard exit. (NOLA.com)
  3. A man is recovering in the hospital and waiting to be arrested after he was stabbed multiple times when he attempted to rob a woman. The man was trying to steal a woman's purse on Wednesday morning on Canal St when a bystander ran up and began stabbing him. (FOX 8 Local First)
