• Morning Fire in Scott: Quick Action, No Injuries (973thedawg.com) — An early-morning fire Tuesday in Scott destroyed a family’s shed and damaged part of their home on South Fieldspand Road, but everyone inside escaped safely. Scott firefighters, assisted by Duson and Judice crews, contained the blaze to one side of the house; one firefighter suffered minor burns and was treated on scene as investigators work to determine the cause.
   

• Third suspect arrested in Acadiana High student's murder (kadn.com) — Authorities have arrested a third suspect in the April shooting that killed 17-year-old Acadiana High student Wykiel Provost of Scott at the Ile des Cannes Apartments on Sweetbriar Street. Lafayette Parish deputies say one additional suspect remains at large as the second-degree murder investigation tied to the Scott apartment complex continues.
