Both cases stem from Shreveport Police traffic stops in 2024 where officers reported fleeing drivers, illegal firearms, and prior felony convictions that barred them from having guns.
   

2. Shreveport leader urges residents to report bad landlords (ktalnews.com) — Shreveport residents are being urged by City Council Chairwoman Tabatha Taylor to file criminal complaints and inspection affidavits against landlords who mismanage utility payments or allow unsafe living conditions. She explains how to document issues and work with SPD's White Collar Crime Division and Property Standards so the city can investigate and prioritize safer housing across Shreveport.
   

3. Miss Louisiana's Teen departs for national competition (ksla.com) — Miss Louisiana's Teen, Ava Martin, flew out of Shreveport Regional Airport to compete for the Miss America's Teen title in Florida, representing Louisiana and her hometown supporters.
