• Man killed in morning crash on Plank Road (unfilteredwithkiran.com) — A 33-year-old man from Slaughter died Monday morning after his pickup crossed the centerline on Plank Road near Zachary and struck a dump truck’s trailer, according to State Police. Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt, the other driver had minor injuries, and impairment is not suspected while the investigation continues.
