• Three sites marked as ready for development along Chemin Metairie (katc.com) — Three city-owned sites along Chemin Metairie Parkway in Youngsville have been officially certified as shovel-ready for commercial and industrial development, all with access to Highway 90. City leaders say the properties, owned by the Lafayette Parish School System, could attract new businesses, jobs, and investment while speeding up corporate site selection through pre-completed due diligence.
   

• Deadly Hit-and-Run Ends With Felony Arrest (973thedawg.com) — A fatal early-morning hit-and-run on Marteau Road near Youngsville has led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Youngsville resident on a felony hit-and-run charge. Lafayette Parish deputies say coordinated investigative work helped identify the suspect’s vehicle and the man they believe is responsible for the crash that killed 51-year-old Charles Kountz II.
