• Pickup driver dead after crash with semi truck in Louisiana (thetrucker.com) — A 33-year-old Slaughter man died Monday morning after his northbound pickup crossed the centerline on LA 67 near Zachary and struck the rear axle of a sand-loaded dump truck trailer. Louisiana State Police say both drivers were restrained, impairment is not suspected, and routine toxicology tests are pending as the investigation continues.
