Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Parts Of East, Northern Maine

Portions of the state including Aroostook, Penobscot, Hancock and Washington counties could see up to 3-5 inches of snowfall.

CARIBOU, ME — A winter weather system is expected to move into parts of far northern and eastern Maine on Tuesday and could drop as much as 5 inches of fresh snow in areas including the Central Highlands and Penobscot Valley.

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. ET Tuesday until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service office in Caribou. The advisory includes parts of Aroostook, Penobscot, Hancock and Washington counties.

According to the advisory, the affected areas could see anywhere from 3-5 inches of new snow.
