• Shipwrights in the making: A community college teams up with Bath Iron Works to train workers (mainebiz.biz) — Auburn’s Central Maine Community College is now hosting a free, three‑week Manufacturing Technician Training course that feeds graduates directly into jobs at Bath Iron Works and other manufacturers. The Auburn campus, just over 30 miles from the shipyard, has already graduated dozens, many receiving job offers, while state and federal initiatives aim to further boost Maine’s manufacturing sector.
