Augusta-Area Heroin Ring Busted After Stabbing: Police
A woman was stabbed in Chelsea, leading authorities on a trail that led to a heroin bust in Farmingdale and six arrests, police said.

FARMINGDALE, ME — A stabbing in Chelsea Friday led officers on a trail to led to a heroin ring in Farmingdale, State Police said. Six people were arrested in connection with both incidents.
The stabbing happened Friday afternoon on Eastern Avenue in Chelsea, police said. Tatyana Tomlinson, 20, of New York, stabbed another woman, police said. She was charged with aggravated assault and police said she had a warrant out of New York. Also arrested at the scene was Lindsay Traynum, 31, of Sidney. She was charged with "misusing a public instrument" and violating conditions of release in connection with another case.
The stabbing victim, Jasmine Swift, 27, of Chelsea, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Maine General Medical Center and released, police said. Swift was charged with heroin possession after the drug was discovered in a vehicle she drove, police said. Further investigation led to Swift's apartment on Hill Street in Farmingdale, where police said they uncovered a heroin dealing operation. Arrested at the apartment were:

- Courtney Peaslee, 24, of Farmingdale
- Megan Woodcock, 19, of Randolph
- Wendell Bazemore, 30, of New York
All three were charged with aggravated heroin trafficking. Peaslee was also charged with violating conditions of release for another case.
