REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participates in IEP team meetings as the administrator.
- Ensures compliance of special education paperwork produced by the special education personnel.
- Develops and coordinates tutoring pool required for homebound/hospital bound/suspended students.
- Assists the Director with required state forms.
- Provides guidance to special education personnel and principals regarding special education issues.
- Completes formal and informal observations on special education personnel.
- Participates in interviews when appropriate.
- Develops and implements in-service activities for educational technicians and ensures evaluation components are completed by supervising teachers.
- Coordinate transportation providers for special education needs.
- Assists in organizing and scheduling psychological examiners.
- Monitors out-of-district placements.
- Coordinates with other state agencies.
- Assists staff with completing observations of students and achievement testing as needed.
- Monitors staff training needs.
- Assists with MaineCare billing.
- Monitors and keeps track of district restraints and/or seclusions.
- Oversees Extended School Year summer program.
- Oversees Alternative Assessments for students.
- Performs such other tasks and duties as determined by the Director of Special Services.
SALARY: Set by the Board of Directors annually
