Eastern Maine Medical Center nursing class celebrates 50th reunion (wabi.tv) — Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor just hosted a 50th reunion for its 1976 nursing class, bringing about 15 alumni back to the hospital where they trained. Graduates reminisced about long careers that began in Bangor’s historic diploma program, which closed in 1985 and later transitioned to Husson University, highlighting the city’s long-running role in training nurses since 1892.

ISU alumnus named president of Eastern Maine Community College (mywabashvalley.com) — Eastern Maine Community College’s Bangor campus has a new president, Dr. Julius Edwards, an Indiana State University alumnus with extensive community college leadership experience. Maineiac Manor Brings 30 Rooms of Terror to Bangor This October (92moose.fm) — A sprawling haunted house, Maineiac Manor, is returning to the Bangor Mall this October with 30 highly detailed rooms and a self-guided, scare-heavy experience. Located across from Spencer’s and next to Spirit Halloween, it offers Bangor horror fans an indoor way to celebrate spooky season without worrying about cold or rainy weather.

Police investigate egging at Susan Collins' Bangor home (newscentermaine.com) — A recent egging incident at Senator Susan Collins’ Bangor home was reported to Bangor police, though no suspect was identified on security footage and no charges are being pursued. Collins and her staff describe the vandalism as harassment and a sign of increasingly heated politics, even here in Maine.
