• Farmington library launches seed exchange (sunjournal.com) — Farmington residents can now donate unopened vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to the Farmington Public Library’s new community seed exchange, with collection boxes also at Root Down Market and the Franklin County Cooperative Extension office. • Maine educators bring new math strategies back to their classrooms (dailybulldog.com) — A federal grant to the University of Maine at Farmington is helping GEAR UP Maine RISE and Syntiro train teachers in new math strategies that emphasize problem-solving, discussion, and confidence-building. Educators from districts including Mt. Blue Middle School brought these tools back to their classrooms, aiming to strengthen math learning for students in Farmington and across rural Maine.
