• Jay Select Board approves nearly $500,000 in trash and paving contracts (newscentermaine.com) — Jay’s Select Board has locked in a new trash hauler starting July 1 and approved nearly $500,000 in trash and paving contracts that will affect several key roads. Residents will see higher collection costs, fresh asphalt on Beedy, Lake School and Osgood roads, delayed Taser purchases, and a series of smaller decisions shaping local policing, recreation and VFW events. 
• Westbrook City Council approves 180-day data center moratorium (pressherald.com) — A proposed data center redevelopment at Jay’s former Androscoggin Mill is part of a broader wave of projects prompting Maine towns to pause and reassess. Westbrook just enacted a 180-day moratorium to study data centers’ impacts on energy, environment, and local ordinances, and several other communities are considering similar moves that could influence how any Jay project proceeds.
