• It's all about the color: Kennebunk police issue warning about parking ticket scam (wmtw.com) — Kennebunk police are warning residents about red fake parking tickets left near local beaches that direct people to pay fines online. Real tickets from the department are yellow, and anyone who received a red ticket in a public lot is urged to call police at 207-985-6121 instead of paying. 
• Village Tavern, offering "elevated dining" in Maine, closes (wmtw.com) — A longtime Kennebunk favorite, Village Tavern on Alfred Road, has closed permanently after nearly 14 years, citing rising costs and changing economic realities. The restaurant says it is still working to reimburse customers who hold gift cards and has apologized for delays as it winds down operations.
