• Machias Police Warn Community Of Wanted Individual Near Campus (z1073.com) — Police are actively searching near the University of Maine Machias campus for a wanted man and are urging anyone who sees him not to approach but to call 911. The alert, shared Monday morning via campus police, describes him as about 5'6" in a dark Carhartt-style coat, gray sweatshirt, and jeans. With classes over and fewer students around, authorities still want Machias residents to stay alert until the search concludes.
