With homes just 40 to 50 feet from the rail line, they're seeking stronger communication with federal and state regulators, and plan to raise their concerns with Gov. • UMaine removes George Mitchell's name from building and scholarship program (bangordailynews.com) — University of Maine trustees have voted to remove George Mitchell's name from a sustainability center, its fund, and a peace scholarship, including signage on Norman Smith Hall at the Orono campus. The change follows a task force finding that his repeated appearance in Jeffrey Epstein-related files could harm public trust, even though no wrongdoing by Mitchell has been established.
