• Maine airports to receive $13.6 million for infrastructure improvements (wagmtv.com) — Presque Isle International Airport is set to receive $42,750 in federal funding to buy two acres of land for future development, part of a $13.6 million package for six Maine airports. The money, championed by Senator Susan Collins through the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program, will support runway and apron upgrades statewide while positioning Presque Isle for long-term growth. 
• County Tennis Players Set For State Tournament (q961.com) — Presque Isle tennis fans have several hometown players to cheer for as the MPA State Championship Tournament begins Thursday, May 14, with singles and doubles running through Saturday in southern Maine. Local standouts like Garrett White, Jacob Bennett, Sabine Wells-Puckett, and seeded player Alice Korzekwa will represent Presque Isle alongside athletes from Caribou, Fort Kent, Houlton, and Van Buren.
• Maine high school senior balances online learning with equestrian career (wagmtv.com) — A Maine high school senior is using online schooling to balance her equestrian ambitions with hands-on work at her family’s farm, and she’s now preparing to graduate in Portland on June 5. She plans to continue her education close to Aroostook County by attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle before pursuing veterinary school and furthering her work with horses.
