• Four People Injured after Car Crashes with Bike & Truck in Maine (q961.com) — A woman on a bicycle was seriously hurt Tuesday when a driver struck her outside the Clambake restaurant in Scarborough, then continued on to hit a pickup and a fence. Both women were taken to Maine Medical Center, while the truck’s occupants were treated at the scene as Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach police continue investigating the mid-morning crashes.
   

• Third annual Celebration of America 300 returns to Oxford Plains Speedway amid extreme heat (wmtw.com) — Scarborough racer Garrett Hall is bracing for one of the toughest endurance tests of his career as the 300-lap Celebration of America race returns to Oxford Plains Speedway in extreme heat. With temperatures soaring, organizers pushed Thursday’s start to 8 p.m., and Hall expects brutal in-car conditions over the holiday weekend showcase.
