MEREDA 2025 Notable Project: The Downs, Scarborough (mainebiz.biz) — A massive redevelopment of the former Scarborough Downs racetrack is reshaping the town with new housing, jobs, and a planned Town Center. The Downs now hosts hundreds of homes, dozens of businesses, and major infrastructure investments, boosting tax revenue and improving transit, trails, and conserved open space for Scarborough residents.
