ā¢ Big catch: Large shark reeled in by fisherman along Maine coast (wesh.com) ā A shark briefly hooked by shore anglers at Higgins Beach in Scarborough on Labor Day was photographed and safely released, confirming repeat shark activity just off the local shoreline. Officials note that shark fishing from the beach is legal under strict catchāandārelease rules, and remind residents itās illegal to target white sharks or practice finning along Scarboroughās coast.
