Maine State Police Search For Suspect After Skowhegan Drug Stop (z1073.com) โ State police are searching for a Massachusetts man who fled a Skowhegan traffic stop where officers seized 354 grams of suspected crack cocaine and arrested two others on drug charges. Skowhegan-area residents are urged to contact the Maine State Police Central Field Troop with any information as authorities pursue aggravated trafficking and furnishing charges tied to the September 12 stop.

PUBLIC NOTICES for Thursday, October 1, 2026 (townline.org) โ Skowhegan residents are named in several new Somerset County probate filings, including estates of local decedents, name-change petitions, and a guardianship case set for hearing on October 14 at the Court Street probate court. Creditors have four months from October 1 to file claims, and anyone with an interest in the guardianship or name changes can appear or contact the court by the listed deadlines.
