The City Council’s Housing and Economic Development Committee will take public comment on May 18, with a possible full council vote on June 1. 
• Maine man charged with 1987 cold case murder of his girlfriend appears in court (98online.com) — A man has been charged in connection with a 1987 killing inside a Spring Street apartment in Westbrook, bringing renewed attention to a long-unsolved local case. Investigators say a recent reinvestigation led to the murder charge, and police are still asking anyone with information to come forward.
