• Two Arrested Following Drug Investigation at Cumberland County Hotel (themainewire.com) — Westbrook police, working with state drug agents, recently stopped a vehicle on Larrabee Road and reported seizing a large quantity of suspected cocaine base and cash. Two people, including a Westbrook resident, were arrested and taken to Cumberland County Jail on aggravated drug trafficking charges, with bail set in the five-figure range. 
• Unitil wants rate increase for southern Maine natural gas customers (wmtw.com) — Natural gas customers in Westbrook could see their Unitil delivery rates rise by about $11 a month starting in mid-2027 if state regulators approve a new request. The proposal, now before the Maine Public Utilities Commission, would affect several southern Maine communities and is meant to cover higher operating costs and system investments.
