• Summer in L-A (bates.edu) — A Bates College junior from Winthrop spent the summer working at the Maine MILL museum in Lewiston through a community work-study fellowship, giving tours and helping launch the museum's new space. Alongside two classmates, he gained hands-on experience in community engagement, public speaking, and local history, and all three are continuing their work with Lewiston organizations during the school year.
