• Set for Success Aug. 16 at WCC (wiscassetnewspaper.com) — Families in Wiscasset can mark their calendars for the Set For Success school-supply event at the Wiscasset Community Center on August 16, offering free teacher-recommended supplies to local students and homeschoolers. Organizers are actively seeking financial and in-kind donations, including via St. Philip’s Church, local drop-off spots, and an Amazon wish list, and will also be fundraising at Wormfest on June 13. 
• Strawberry Festival nears (wiscassetnewspaper.com) — St. Philip’s Church on Hodge Street is getting ready to welcome Wiscasset neighbors to its 72nd annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 27, with crafts, fresh berries, and plenty of strawberry shortcake. Visitors can also learn about the church’s Forward in Faith campaign to preserve its historic sanctuary and support ongoing community outreach.
• Softball Recap: Richmond Sets Scoring Season-High Against Wiscasset (maxpreps.com) — Wiscasset’s softball team had a tough outing, falling 22-1 to Richmond as the Bobcats set a new season-high score and snapped their six-game skid. The loss extends Wiscasset’s losing streak to 17 games dating back to last season, while standout Richmond players boosted their stats in hitting, pitching, and stolen bases.
