Aberdeen Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

An armed robbery occurred at the Sunoco Gas Mart at the corner of Middleton Lane and Churchville Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, authorities said.

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen at gunpoint Thursday from the Sunoco Gas Mart at the corner of Middleton Lane and Churchville Road, police said.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. a black male wearing black jeans, a black shirt, black cap and sunglasses entered the store and demanded money, said Police Spokesman Lt. Fred Budnick.

The suspect “displayed a handgun and announced a robbery,” Budnick said.

“The suspect fled the area on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash,” Budnick said.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office and a K-9 unit from the Mayland State Police assisted. But the suspect escaped, police said.

“No one was injured during the incident,” Budnick said.
