Alleged Crips Gang Member Sentenced in Carjacking Case
Tyrone Moore of Aberdeen was sentenced to 147 months in prison.
A 21-year-old Aberdeen man, who is allegedly a member of the Crips gang, was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison in conjunction with a series of carjacking offenses.
U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz sentenced Tyrone Moore to 147 months in jail for conspiracy, carjacking and using a firearm during crime of violence, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, of the United States Department of Justice.
Court documents stated Moore was a member of the Crips gang and Moore admitted he was a gang member during sentencing Thursday, the release said.

According to evidence presented during the trial, Moore—who was accompanied by two other individuals—pointed a gun at the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee near the intersection of East 39th Street and Hadley Square West in the Guilford neighborhood of Baltimore in November, 2007. Moore demanded the keys to the vehicle and drove away in the Jeep, according to the release.
Harford County sheriff's deputies found the Jeep on Dec. 2, 2007 in the Perrywood Gardens apartment complex.

Moore's DNA was found on clothing in the vehicle and fingerprints were found on a passenger door, according to the release. The victim also identified Moore by photo.
