APG Daytime Testing May Be Heard in Community
APG daytime testing will produce noise and vibrations heard or felt outside of the installation, March 14-18, 2016.

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md.—The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center is scheduled to conduct daytime testing that can produce noise and vibrations that may be heard or felt outside of the installation, March 14-18, 2016. These operations will not be hazardous to residents of surrounding communities and are a necessary part of the Army’s Testing mission.
Understanding the noise cannot be contained on the installation, organizations on APG take every measure to mitigate instances when it becomes problematic to residents off the installation. APG Leadership takes noise complaints very seriously and wants to provide as much transparency as possible to the surrounding communities without compromising the security of the missions conducted here.
To ensure we minimize the impact to our neighbors, we monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day. For noise levels not typical, media advisories are distributed to alert the public.
