Glass on Airport Security Screenings and Searches

There have been and continue to be situations that are happening every day in our airports that Maryland citizens need to be made aware of. Individuals are being singled out and bodily searched by TSA employees in addition to the scanning. Theses searches go well beyond what the law allows, are unconstitutional and are growing worse.   

Listed below are several bills I have put in to help address these serious issues.

• HB 1106–Public Safety–Inappropriate Search of a Minor by Public Servant–Penalties
• HB 1111–Public Safety-Restrictions on Searches for Security Purposes–Penalties
• HB 1244–Maryland Aviation Administration–Airport Security and Passenger Screening-Private Contractor
• HB 1245–Maryland Aviation Administration–Airport Security-Training-Luggage Search

These bills will help to stop the inappropriate searches currently taking place.  Below is one of the searches which have taken place.
