Neighbors Win Aberdeen's Holiday Decorating Contest
The two first-place winners decorated houses on Ford Street.
The City of Aberdeen recognized the winners of the Aberdeen Heritage Trust decorating contest Monday, and the blue ribbons went to neighbors.
Walter and Janet Piper won first place in the modern category, which included homes that had lighted and/or inflated characters plus decorative lights. Their home is located at 402 Ford St.
In the colonial category, which included window candles, garlands and wreaths as well as lights, the Pipers' neighbors, at 403 Ford St., took the prize.
