Prescription Drug Deal Goes 'Awry' at Motel

Aberdeen Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Travelodge, located on West Bel Air Avenue.

 

said they are looking for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery that took place at a motel on Dec. 29.

Six people met inside a room of the , located on 800 block of West Bel Air Avenue, at approximately 10 p.m. to exchange money for prescription drugs, police said. No one in the room or any motel staff were injured.

"It appears to not be a random robbery, but an arranged drug transaction that went awry," said Cpl. Detective Will Reiber.

Based on statements from the victims, two females and one male, the police said they are looking for one white and two black male suspects.

No charges or arrests have been made as of Tuesday, police said.
