Two Arrested After Custis Street Raid

A man and a woman were taken into custody on drug charges after police searched a home in the 700 block of Custis Street, police say.

A man and a woman were charged with intent to distribute marijuana and other related offenses Saturday after local authorities executed a search warrant on a property believed to be their home, police said.

Gregory Lamont, 40, and Tamika R. Brown, 32, were taken into custody after police raided the home in the 700 block of Custis St., Lt. Fred Budnick said.

“A small amount of marijuana, a digital scale and several other items of drug paraphernalia were seized,” Budnick said in a statement.

The search followed a narcotics investigation by members of the Special Operations Unit, police said.

Lamont and Brown were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of paraphernalia with the intent to distribute, Budnick said.

Lamont was being held on $25,000 bond. Brown was being held on $2,500 bond for this incident and $1,500 bond on an unrelated outstanding warrant, authorities said.
