“Assistance was requested (from) the Harford County Sheriff’s Department due to the size of the crowd,” Budnick said in a prepared statement. “Several fights broke out in the presence of the police.”

Budnick said 250 to 300 people were in the area during the incident.

“Not everyone was fighting,” Budnick said.

Two juveniles were transported to Harford Memorial Hospital in connection with the incident, police said.

One suffered injuries relating to an assault, police said. The other juvenile, had to be taken to the hospital for a medical emergency, Budnick said.

Budnick said events held there have had problems in the past but not on the same level as the weekend incident.

“They’ve had some events that didn’t have any problem at all,” Budnick said.
