Veteran Politcal Reporter Joins Senate Minority Leader’s Staff
Suzanne Collins, who has spent much of her 27 years at WJZ—TV covering the Maryland General Assembly, will join Senator Nancy Jacobs in Havre de Grace for a breakfast meeting on May 2 to begin meeting constituents.

WJZ-TV political reporter Suzanne Collins has been named chief of staff for state Senate Minority Leader Nancy Jacobs (R-Harford/Cecil.)
“Suzanne’s understanding of public policy, the legislative process and her compassion for people make her a wonderful addition to our staff,” Jacobs said Wednesday in a prepared statement.
Collins, who has spent much of her 27 years at the station covering the Maryland General Assembly, will join Jacobs in Havre de Grace for a breakfast meeting on May 2 to begin meeting constituents.

Collins joined WJZ-TV in 1984 as the head of the Investigative Reporting Unit, following a stint at WBAL-TV from 1979 to 1984.
She has served as a news editor, special projects producer and reporter covering the state house through the tenure of four governors.
