VIDEO: Aberdeen Students Hold Walkout to Support Principal
The Board of Education will hold a closed session at 6 p.m. and a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday. Parents and students are expected to comment during the public portion of the meeting.
Aberdeen High School Principal Tom Szerensits has said he is being forced out of his job. Students held a peaceful demonstration Monday at 7:30 a.m. on Paradise Road in front of the school in hopes to draw attention to the situation in the hopes that the Board of Education would change allow him to stay. The school district has declined to comment on Szerensits employment status because the issue is a personnel matter.
