Which Film Should Win the Oscar for Best Picture?
Nine motion pictures are nominated for Best Picture in the 84th Academy Awards.

From a mostly silent film to an "extremely loud" one, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released nine nominees for Best Picture for the 84th Annual Academy Awards.
They include Hugo, Midnight in Paris, The Artist, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, The Descendants, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, War Horse and The Help, according to the Oscars website, which also lists the complete slate of nominees for each category.
Notable films that did not make the cut include The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Iron Lady, Beginners and A Better Life.

Hugo leads all films with 11 nominations, including Martin Scorsese for best directing. The Artist is right behind with 10 nominations, including Jean Dujardin for best actor and Bérénice Bejo for best supporting actress.
