Workers Drill Tunnel Underneath Road in Downtown Aberdeen
A telephone wire will run underneath parts of West Bel Air Avenue and Parke Street.
Drivers on West Bel Air Avenue in downtown Aberdeen should expect slight traffic delays as an AT&T telephone wire is being installed underneath the road.
Flagger Force construction workers have parked company vehichles and a directional boring machine around a five-foot cut in the road, where a tunnel is being drilled. The project started on Wednesday.
"I don't know how long this is going to take," said Bob Steffen, a Flagger Force employee. "If the drill hits anything dense under the road there could be delays."
