Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants in Maryland to support public television on August 31

On Thursday, Chipotle locations in MD will donate portion of their proceeds from participating customers to Maryland Public Television (MPT)

OWINGS MILLS, MD – Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants throughout Maryland will donate a portion of its sales to Maryland Public Television (MPT), the state’s nonprofit, statewide broadcaster, on Thursday, August 31. Customers should tell the cashier that they want to support MPT with their purchase, and Chipotle will donate 50 percent of these sales to the station.

To participate in the fundraiser, patrons can visit any of 81 Chipotle restaurants in Maryland from 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the 31st. If placing an order online, patrons should choose the pay in-store option and inform the cashier of their participation before paying. Customers can also show the cashier a promotional flyer available at http://bit.ly/2fND0WG.

Maryland Public Television, launched in 1969, is a state-licensed public TV network and member of the Public Broadcasting Service. MPT comprises six television stations that broadcast throughout Maryland as well as into the District of Columbia and parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. MPT is Maryland’s only state-wide broadcaster. Each month, MPT reaches 1.6 million TV viewers in the Baltimore/Washington area alone. For more information, visit mpt.org.
