Free Krispy Kreme Donuts In MD For July 4: How To Get One

MARYLAND — Krispy Kreme is celebrating the USA's 246th birthday with the launch of a line of red, white and blue donuts to celebrate the 4th of July. Best of all — that sweet, tasty concoction is free to Maryland customers.

The "I Heart America" collection will have four new America-themed donuts for a limited time that are free to patriotic patrons. Any customer who wears red, white and blue to participating stores will receive a free donut of their choice every day through July 4, according to a company news release.

From Friday through Monday, customers will receive a free dozen original glazed donuts when they purchase a dozen donuts at regular price.

Maryland donut fans have several Krispy Kreme locations from which to choose, with shops in Rockville, Catonsville, Gambrills, Capitol Heights, Columbia, Owings Mills and more.

The new offerings are:

• Soaring Firework Heart: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with Strawberries & Kreme, dipped in red icing and decorated with an icing drizzle and star sugar piece.
• Patriotic Cookies & Kreme Heart: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme, dipped in white icing and topped with cookie and icing drizzles.
• Stars & Stripes Heart: A heart-shaped doughnut filled with Kreme, dipped in white icing and decorated like a flag with a red icing drizzle and a star sprinkle blend.
• Star Spangled Sprinkle: A glazed doughnut dipped in blue icing and topped with red and white star sprinkles.

Krispy Kreme also is running a pair of summer-long promotions. Customers can sample hot, fresh original glazed donuts daily through Labor Day when the Hot Light is on at participating stores.

As part of its "Beat The Pump" promotion, Krispy Kreme will set the price of a dozen original glazed donuts each Wednesday based on the national average price of a gallon of regular gasoline, according to AAA.
