Here’s An Early Look At Fall Forecast For MD

Maryland residents can expect cooler-than-normal temperatures and below-average rainfall this fall, according to a new seasonal forecast from The Old Farmer’s Almanac.

The fall forecast calls for the Old Line State to see cooler and drier conditions than normal, with some parts experiencing anywhere between 2 and 4 inches of less-than-normal rainfall totals.

Across the country, the Almanac expects warmer-than-normal temperatures across much of the nation’s interior, including the northern Plains, Heartland and Deep South.

Cooler conditions are forecast along the Pacific Coast and across much of the eastern United States.

Rainfall is expected to be below normal across much of the country. Wetter-than-usual conditions are forecast along parts of the West Coast, in the central and northern Rockies, in parts of Texas, southern Florida and the Northeast.

The Almanac’s long-range forecasts identify broad temperature and precipitation trends and are not intended to predict the weather on specific days.

Meteorological fall begins Sept. 1 and runs through Nov. 30. Astronomical fall begins with the autumnal equinox on Sept. 22.
