MD Beach Ranks Among Nation's 25 Best Of The Best, Tripadvisor Says

OCEAN CITY, MD — As summer approaches, beachgoers may want to travel near the coast to experience Maryland's nationally-ranked beach.

With its "wide shore" and its "incredible views," Maryland's Ocean City Beach is deemed one of the best beaches nationwide by travel guidance platform Tripadvisor. Ocean City landed at No. 10 among 25 beaches.

Tripadvisor recently released its 2024 Travelers' Choice Awards Best of the Best winners, the highest honor in travel, it says.

"It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone," Tripadvisor said.

The setting of the Ocean City beach is peaceful and spacious, and hosts on-duty lifeguards, Tripadvisor said in its ranking. The scenery lends itself to swimming, sunbathing or strolling along the boardwalk to peruse vintage cars. A plethora of food options is also featured at the notable beach.

And, per Tripadvisor, Ocean City is wheelchair accessible and is home to a coffee shop.
