Candidate For MD Governor Violated Ex-Partner's Protective Order, Judge Rules: Report

The charges were connected to a protection order issued in October 2020 that prohibited contact with an ex-partner, the report said.

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD — Dwight Douglas Larcomb, one of nine Republicans running for governor of Maryland, was found guilty on Wednesday of 17 charges, including stalking and violating his ex-partner's protective order, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The charges against Larcomb, 61, of Frederick, were connected to a protection order issued in October 2020 that prohibited contact with an ex-partner.

The violations took place from February to March 2021, court records obtained by the Sun show.

Charging documents said Larcomb contacted the victim several times via phone calls, voicemails and his personal Facebook, as well as a fake account.

This week’s trial was the second after Larcomb was initially convicted in July 2022. He later filed a petition for post-conviction relief seeking a new trial, which a Frederick County judge granted.
