10,000 Steps to a Good Time -6/22 Sunday Salsa Social

Happy Friday!
So I finally jumped on the bandwagon and got a Fitbit. (www.fitbit.com)
For those who may have been living under a rock for the past few months,  a Fitbit is a nifty arm band devices that tracks your physical activity..down to the number of calories you burn and yes --even down to the number of STEPS you take. You wear the device on your arm and it syncs with your phone and/or computer. And let me tell you --it is soo addicting. Every few hours I check the app to see how many steps I have logged during the day so far. They say that a good rule of thumb is 10,000 steps per day!!
 10 THOUSAND! 

The easiest path to hitting 10,000 steps this weekend is attending our Sunday Night Salsa Social! From Bachata, the Cha-Cha-Cha, to Mambo you can expect great latin music and a great time!

Here are the details!!!! 

  • 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM - BASIC CLASS 
  • 8:00 PM -9:00 PM- INTERMEDIATE CLASS 
  • 9:00 PM -10:30 PM: OPEN DANCING 
  • Can't dance ? Don't worry we have beginner and intermediate salsa lessons at the beginning of the night!
  • No partner? Don't worry --the folks that attend dance with everyone and they will happy to dance with you!
  • Nothing to wear? Don't worry--it is a "come as you are" type event. Feel free to put on your fancy clothes --but jeans and a shirt works ok too!
  • What about drinks? We got you covered--the party will be held at the Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge and 2 bars will be open!
