2 People Rescued After Boat Sinks Near Annapolis
Two people were rescued after their boat capsized over the weekend, authorities said.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two people were rescued over the weekend after their boat capsized near Tolley Point.
Authorities said the first calls were issued Saturday at 10:55 a.m. for reports of a sinking boat and people in the water. Officials said the water temperature was about 57 degrees at the time.
At the scene, the two individuals were taken to a nearby dock in the Lake Ogleton area. They were later evaluated and treated by emergency medical crews.

Investigators have not said what caused the boat to sink or detailed the condition of the two people pulled from the water.
A statement issued by the Edgewater Volunteer Fire Department detailed that the submerged vessel was a 25-foot tiki boat, and that the multi-agency response included personnel from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
