Founded in 1974 by Jim Motsko, the founder and director, back then the tournament drew 54 boats and had $20,000 in prize money.
The base of operations for this 42nd White Marlin Open is a little community called Harbour Island, a quiet, beautiful community with cobblestone streets and flowers blooming all summer long.
