6 Annapolis Area Restaurants Up For State Awards, Vote Now

Anne Arundel eateries are nominated for Maryland's favorite restaurant to craft beer program of the year and other honors

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Several Anne Arundel County establishments are up for awards from a restaurant trade association that recognizes the best of the industry across the state. The Restaurant Association of Maryland's Stars of the Industry Awards is an annual program in which the public is invited to vote online to select the best chefs and food venues in the state. Vote at the bottom of the article by March 28.

Five Annapolis restaurants, plus one in Severna Park, are in the running for awards for Maryland's favorite restaurant, Maryland's favorite bar or tavern, restauranteur of the year, Heart of the Industry award, and more. RAM Restaurateur of the Year nominees include Kyle Algaze of the Iron Rooster.

Without further ado, here are the nominees from Annapolis. Lewnes' Steak House, 401 Fourth St., is up for the Maryland's Favorite Restaurant.

The competition in Maryland's Favorite Restaurant category includes the following:

  • Lewnes' Steak House - Annapolis
  • The Prime Rib - Baltimore
  • Stanford Grill - Columbia
  • Sunset Grille - Ocean City
  • Woodmont Grill - Bethesda

  • Cancun Cantina - Hanover
  • Dock Street Bar & Grill - Annapolis

Heart of the Industry:
  • Boris Bobrov (Server) - AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar
  • Brian Cieslak (Sous Chef) - Preserve, 164 Main St. in Annapolis
  • Ryan Galliant (Bar Manager) - Hudson Coastal

RAM Restaurateur of the Year: Kyle Algaze - Iron Rooster.

Cornerstone of the Industry Award:

  • Blackwall Hitch - Annapolis
  • Cafe Mezzanotte - Severna Park
  • Glory Days Grill - Statewide
  • Tino's Italian Bistro - Columbia

The Restaurant Association of Maryland, a trade association dedicated to promoting and improving the restaurant industry in Maryland, is based on Hillside Court in Columbia.

Vote online until 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28.

Winners will be announced May 6 at the Restaurant Association of Maryland's Stars of the Industry Awards Gala in Ocean City.
